Edible Wedding Favors: Delectable Goodies for All

If there is one form of wedding favor that has not lost its charm through the centuries, it is edible wedding favors.  A lot of newly-weds have thanked countless guests with these sumptuous treats, and they never go unappreciated.

In the previous century, when aristocratic couples started giving away thank you gifts to their guests, they opted for the then-expensive sugar cubes or fine confections, packaged in boxes made of porcelain and other pricey materials.  Today, wedding favors really need not be pricey.  As long as they are well-thought of and the couple takes good care in choosing and packaging them, they will be just as appreciated and adored as the sugar cubes of long ago.  And edible wedding favors never go out of style.

Some of the favored edible wedding favors include, but are not limited to, the following:

Chocolates.  Many specialty shops are offering personalized chocolate candy bars for an unforgettable wedding favor.  If you are reducing the budget, there are also numerous culinary stores that sell chocolates, chocolate molds, sprinkles, and packaging that you can use if you like to create your own.

Cookies.  These are also fun wedding favors to hand out.  They come in a wide variety of shapes, flavors, and types and they can be created to go with the theme of the celebration.  A variety of autumn leaves for a fall wedding, Christmas décor design for a December wedding, shell-shaped for a beach wedding – the ideas are endless.

Candies.  These are fun and colorful surprises to get for your guests.  Their designs and tastes are as varied as your imagination will allow, and they’re also quite cheap.  Mints are a great choice as well.

Bottled goodies.  Jams, jellies, honey, and other preserves can also be considered as edible wedding favors.  These are technically long lasting – unless, of course, they are so good that they are gone instantly!

Drink packets.  Coffee and tea wedding favors are highly appreciated gifts.  And they come in a wide selection, too, like red tea, green tea, chamomile tea… there is just so much to choose from!

There are other goodies you can hand out on your wedding day, like almonds and other nuts, truffles and cakes, biscuits, and much more.  But besides the food itself, you have to concentrate on how you package your edible wedding favor.  Remember that opening your gift must be just as thrilling as eating it!
